The City of Dixon has received a proposal from Magna Entertainment Corporation, to develop "Dixon Downs"
, a state-of-the-art thoroughbred racing facility. Magna is the leading owner and operator of thoughoughbred racing tracks in the nation.
The first phase of the racing facility would include an 1800 seat grandstand and multi-purpose finish line pavilian/simulcast facility with a capacity for 5,000 customers, overlooking a triple, oval track. The location of Dixon Downs would be at the Pedrick Road offramp at Interstate 80, only 12 1/2 miles from this spectacular property.
